Send a Tip

How to send a tip

Anything is welcome: newsworthy events in the startup and capital-markets world, systems in need of reform, or stories worth telling. Use the form on this page or email news@investnews.co.kr (Tel. +82-31-8042-5109), and the reporter in charge will review your tip and get back to you.

If you have photos, documents or video, including when and where they were obtained helps us verify them much faster.

Source protection

We never disclose a tipster's identity without their consent, under any circumstances, and we take protective measures so that sources cannot be identified through the reporting process. Anonymous tips are also accepted.

How tips are handled

Submitted tips are reviewed at the newsroom desk meeting, and only matters that pass fact-checking are published. As a rule, we respond with the outcome of your submission regardless of whether it leads to a story.

Personal data

To handle your tip we collect your name, email and phone number solely to confirm your identity and keep a communication channel open. The data is kept for three months after review is complete and then destroyed without delay. You may decline to provide it, in which case we cannot accept the submission.
